EA to CEO

We are looking for an assistant to a CEO of an international gallery and auction house in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support ensuring professional, timely, and effective communication on behalf of the CEO, to a wide range of stakeholders, including high-profile buyers of art, art collectors and sellers, international and national museums, and other art institutions. The successful candidate must be a multi-tasker with high quality communication skills, both verbal and written.  Communication across teams / departments, prepping for meetings and follow-up on internal matters will also form part of the day to day work profile. The successful candidate will report solely to the CEO, and maintain working relationship with all teams. The role is highly confidential and the successful candidate must be able to exercise judgement in meetings, correspondence, phone calls and other communication channels.

Familiarity with Indian art and the art market in Asia is required.

Communications Manager

Our client, an international blue-chip gallery based in Mayfair, is looking for a Communications Manager. The successful candidate will oversee UK and European communications, reporting into the Director of Communications based in New York. The ideal candidate will have at least five years related experience in public relations and marketing, and demonstrate excellent communications skills. They must able to work well with autonomy, be proactive with opportunities but also be able to work well with multiple teams in various geographical locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; planning and implementing all strategic press campaigns across a wide range of media, maintaining and cultivating media relationships, organising press events and liaising with museums and PR agencies as needed.

Studio Manager

A young artist who has received a significant amount of commercial success in recent years is seeking a Studio Manager to join their fast-growing London studio. The position will involve working closely with the artist on large scale installation and exhibition projects in major international museums and galleries, with a focus on performance, sound installations, mixed-media sculptures and other experimental works. Managing these projects alongside a small team of studio assistants, responsibilities will include overseeing the general administration and development of the studio. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational, managerial and communication skills, experience in the administrative processes of an artist studio and an ability to work with great independence and flexibility. French language skills, a musical understanding and advanced IT skills would be welcomed. This role will initially be on a part-time freelance basis with the potential to develop into a full-time, salaried role.

Fair Director

On behalf of our client, a London-based art fair, we are seeking a Fair Director to take overall responsibility for the satisfaction of its visitors and exhibitors, as well as the commercial success and effective delivery of the fair.  Responsibilities will include building relationships with exhibitors and key suppliers including venue owners and stand builders; negotiating costs, managing budgets and delivering financial targets; planning the content of the event and visitor experience; selling stands and stand extras to galleries whilst ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with the fair; securing and managing sponsors for the event; and in conjunction with the Marketing Director, driving the brand messages and vision of the fair to press, exhibitors, sponsors and visitors. The Fair Director will actively seek out new ways to improve the fairs, to add value to the event whilst increasing revenue. It is, however, also very much a hands-on, role, requiring the Director to get stuck in at all levels, leading and motivating the team in the run-up, during, and post-fair. The successful candidate will have significant relevant experience with demonstrable expertise of managing and delivering complex and ambitious projects, an excellent track record in sales and/or fundraising and an ability to communicate confidently as the ‘face of the fair’.

The successful candidate will act as the face of HR for the company, responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organisation, with the support of a team of 2/3 individuals. The ideal candidate will have 10 – 15 years of experience with a specific focus on strategy. Our client, a leading public relations and communications consultancy for the arts and lifestyle, is seeking an experienced Lifestyle Account Director. He or she will form a senior role in the company, overseeing all key lifestyle accounts, which include hotels, restaurants, food and drink companies, as well actively pitching for new business. The successful candidate will manage a growing team that at present consists of three account managers and will be a key member of the senior management team, working closely with the owner of the firm. We are looking for someone with strong media contacts, preferably on an international level, within travel, lifestyle, design, food and drink and style sectors. Our client, a leading public relations and communications consultancy for the arts and lifestyle, is seeking an experienced Digital Director to join their team. This is a brand-new role specifically created to meet the demands of their existing client base, who are increasingly requiring digitally led campaigns. As such, we are looking for who is comfortable setting up and leading a department. The agency works with high profile clients from both arts and lifestyle sectors and this role would sit across both areas. This role requires a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit and a high level of ambition. The successful candidate will be working closely with the owner and senior directors of the firm, helping to pitch for business and running digital campaigns for the agency’s key accounts. Gallery Manager/Assistant to Director

We are running a search on behalf of our client, a blue-chip contemporary gallery, to source an experienced Gallery Manager/Assistant to Director.  This person will be expected to independently oversee the daily management of the gallery space, engage with clients and handle press enquiries.  This person will also be responsible for maintenance and security at the gallery.  Key elements of the role include, but are not limited to; assisting with the planning and coordination of exhibitions; overseeing installation scheduling and arranging events; assisting the Director with sales administration; and assisting in researching and appraising contemporary art works. This person must have extensive US based contacts, both private clients and within institutions, and must have experience working with artist’s studios, overseeing consignments and facilitating loan agreements for exhibitions and organising shipping and logistics to support effective preparation for art fairs and exhibitions.
