Salesperson in Contemporary ArtWe need an extremely proactive, experienced and dynamic salesperson with an international client base to head up a team of five salespeople in this London gallery. The gallery represents many very well established artists as well as emerging talent and their existing client base is strong and diverse. By taking on this role you will be responsible for looking for new markets, travelling extensively, guiding your team through the annual fairs and external projects the gallery participates in as well as managing your own sales and building upon your successes to date. At least eight to ten years of experience dealing in contemporary art is a must.

As part of a small team you will be assisting with the day-to-day running of this popular gallery, which represents a whole range of modern and contemporary artists. The gallery boasts a regular series of exhibitions and you will be involved with artist and client liaison, organising the private views, assisting with the installation of the show and all the administration including registrar duties. The gallery is also working on several artist books so you need to be literate and have a desire to both write and research. The gallery’s busiest times are at the weekend so you will be required to work 3 weekends a month with days off in lieu. It is extremely desirable to be based within the Richmond or surrounding areas.
