Archivist & Communications Manager, Gallery, San Francisco
Our client, a gallery in San Francisco, is looking for an Archivist & Communications Manager to join their team. Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include establishing and executing the process for the maintenance of artist and artwork records and files; researching and verifying artwork provenance; preparing consignment agreements and contracts; collaborating with the Directors and artist liaison to develop curatorial concepts; developing and executing the gallery’s social media and communications calendar; and writing curatorial statements for exhibitions, press releases, and sales presentations, among other duties. The ideal candidate will be a strong art writer and researcher who is a communicative self-starter with a keen attention to detail. Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in a museum or gallery archive, or equivalent, are invited to apply.
