Research Associate, New York
Our client, an international blue chip gallery specializing in Post War and Contemporary Art, is searching for a detail-oriented Research Associate to join their team in New York. The Research Associate would be responsible for carrying out thorough archival and art historical research related to the gallery’s inventory, preparing and editing fact sheets and sales packages, and compiling and standardizing all cataloging in the gallery’s database and server. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of Modern and Contemporary Art; 3 – 5 years of experience working in the art world; a demonstrated ability to research, document and fact check historical information; be proficient working with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Word; and be comfortable working with ArtBase or other FileMaker Pro Databases. An MA in Art History and/or knowledge of a foreign language is preferred.
