Our client, an international contemporary gallery, is looking for a Sales Director to join their team in New York on the occasion of their expansion here. The Sales Director will work closely with the Founder and play a pivotal role in helping to shape the Gallery’s early presence in New York, while also contributing to its broader strategic vision locally and globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Gallery’s leadership team to shape its strategic direction in New York; support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of the New York team; contributing to the Gallery’s US art fair strategy; developing and implementing sales strategies; and proactively grow the Gallery’s collector base and institutional relationships, among other duties. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, a deep and versatile knowledge of the art market, and outstanding interpersonal skills. Candidates with proven experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and prior experience in a leadership role are invited to apply.
