Our client, an Art Advisory, is looking for a Sales & Research Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough and scholarly art market and art historical research; liaising with scholars, academics, and curators to inform secondary market research; researching relevant contacts and securing meetings for the Directors; monitoring the market activities of specific artists and presenting new artists for consideration; compiling gallery previews ahead of fairs and exhibitions; maintaining relationships with gallery representatives and attending events and openings; writing catalogue notes and producing sales proposals; composing and delivering internal and client-facing presentations; and the development and delivery of prospective project and exhibition proposals, among other duties. The ideal candidate will be a confident go-getter with sophisticated art historical knowledge and a passion for contemporary art and the art market. Candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience are invited to apply.
