Our client, a visual arts publisher, is seeking an Associate Editor to join its team in London. The Associate Editor will be responsible for managing multiple titles from contract to print; creating and enforcing detailed production schedules; coordinating contributors and freelance editors; ensuring the seamless flow of materials between editorial, design, and operations teams; acting as the key bridge between creative and operational functions; overseeing image and rights processes; managing editorial budgets; maintaining workflow systems; and upholding rigorous quality control across all stages of production, from manuscript readiness through to final proofing. Candidates with 3–5+ years’ experience in art, museum, or academic publishing, strong expertise in illustrated books and complex image rights, and a detail-driven, systems-oriented approach are invited to apply.
