Our client, a foundation based in France, is seeking a new Director of Communications and Development to be based either in Paris or Southern France. Working closely with the Executive Committee, the Director will be responsible for defining the foundation’s communication, sponsorship, and media strategy; this includes supervising public and press relations, ensuring the effective delivery of communications operations, and contributing actively to the foundation’s strategic direction. The successful candidate will be expected to play a hands-on role, combining strategic thinking with concrete operational involvement. The position also involves maintaining and developing high-level partnerships and shaping a dynamic programme of public engagement. This role would suit someone deeply embedded in the international art scene, with strong knowledge of funding mechanisms, proven experience managing complex projects, and a particular sensitivity to ecological and societal issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in the art world, with professional fluency in French, and possess excellent command of English.
