Gallery Manager – German speaking, London
Our client, a leading London gallery specialising in twentieth-century European art, is seeking a proactive and highly organised Gallery Manager to join its close-knit team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting every aspect of gallery operations, from artwork logistics, shipping and customs to client liaison, exhibitions and international art fairs. Working directly with the Director, the successful candidate will be confident communicating with clients, suppliers and external bodies, including HMRC, and able to clearly manage and explain gallery procedures relating to shipping and compliance. Fluency in both German and English is essential, as is experience coordinating the international movement of artworks. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working across all aspects of a gallery’s operations, is quick to learn, thinks two steps ahead, and is looking to grow within a highly respected commercial gallery while travelling to leading international art fairs including Art Basel and Frieze.
