Our client, an international gallery specialising in modern and contemporary art, is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Sales Director to join its London team. This senior opportunity is suited to an experienced art market professional with a strong international network of collectors, family offices, advisors and institutions, and a proven track record of securing high-value sales across the primary and secondary markets. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will drive sales, cultivate new business opportunities, strengthen long-term client relationships and represent the gallery at international art fairs and events. Applicants should bring at least five years’ senior sales experience within a leading commercial gallery, auction house or art advisory, outstanding relationship-building and negotiation skills, deep knowledge of the modern and contemporary art market, and a highly entrepreneurial, client-focused approach. A competitive basic salary is offered, dependent on experience, alongside an attractive commission structure.
